It operates as WDM 1000BaseBX standard, covering a range of 20Km singlemode single strand fiber optical circuit. It can be used in any modern Ethernet switch equipped with SFP (miniGBIC) slots, as well as on any of the fiber optic media converters with SFP slot provided on eBay by

. The module is a B type WDM equipment using 1550nm wavelength for transmission and 1310nm wavelength for receiving data. It works in pair only with another WDM A type equipment (Tx:1310nm/Rx:1550nm).
The optical
module has been tested and found 100% compatible with various Ethernet
switches from major manufacturers like: Cisco, Nortel, Extreme, ZyXEL,
D-Link or Netgear.
